Load-chart & stability considerations
A 360° excavator's stability depends on tracking or slewing position relative to the load and the ground it's sitting on — working side-on to a slope, digging at extended reach, or slewing a loaded bucket over the side rather than the front/rear of the tracks all reduce the safe margin differently. We train operators to understand how slew position changes the effective stability triangle, and to treat trench-edge working distance as a stability issue, not just a collapse-risk issue.

Training on your own 360 excavator
We deliver excavator training on your own machine at your actual dig site, because ground conditions, trench depth and utility proximity are all specific to that site — a certificate earned digging a test trench in a yard doesn't prepare an operator for a live utility trench with unknown buried services.

Do I need a different ticket for a bigger excavator?
Yes — tonnage bands are trained and certified separately since digging reach, cycle speed and stability characteristics change significantly across the size range.
Can excavators be used for lifting as well as digging?
Only with a suitable lifting accessory and within LOLER requirements — we cover the distinction between digging operations and lifting operations, and the extra checks lifting requires.
Do you check our quick-hitch as part of training?
We check operator competence in verifying full quick-hitch engagement every cycle — a formal LOLER thorough examination of the hitch itself is a separate periodic requirement your machine should already have in place.
